I found this design on a website called WSDIA (We Should Do It All). POD was designed to be put on an architecture studio card in New York. I chose this design because the designer, Nicole chose the right font for the logo. Each side of the pod is balanced with a unique dot.

Frederick design
This design was by Whitney Amelia Frederick and was made for the purpose of being printed onto a t-shirt. I chose to blog about her design because its purpose isn't to represent a business or organization. It was designed as an artwork. I like the design because of the layout. The umbrellas float back into space creating a flowing line. The objects are elegant and add to the theme of wanting to float off into the sky.
paul rand design
This design was created by Paul Rand for the U. S. Department of the Interior. I chose to blog about this design because of different aspects. The bold black "M" draws the viewers eye past the other brightly colored letters so they can not only begin to read "minute man," but also see the man in the "M." I like the design because of the plain font, which allows for a stylized figure of a man to become a focal point as well. The dark shaded "M" is balanced with the dark grey "N" at the opposite corner of the poster.
Woody Pirtle design
http://designarchives.aiga.org/?s1=2|s2=1|eid=5837
This design was made by Woody Pirtle and Jeff Weithman. I don't know the purpose for it, but i like this design because of the lines in the middle. The words that circle the Fancy curved symbol give the design a professional appearance.
jason schulte design
This design was made for the company Chaqwa, who provide coffee or tea. It was created by Jason Schulte Design. I chose to blog about this design because its so inviting. The pattern of the circles caught my eye and invited me into the picture. I'm sure that was their plan all along. By making the majority of it black and white they kept the design simple. A few dots of color makes the design modern and inviting.
Why am i a graphic design major?
I chose to be graphic design major, mainly because i feel that God has opened the door for me and led me to this field of study. I feel called to be in the field of art because of the process in which i think. Anywhere i go, i always think of new ideas for designs or logos just by looking around. I truly enjoy graphic design work and helping others by creating the media they need.
