This design was created by Paul Rand for the U. S. Department of the Interior. I chose to blog about this design because of different aspects. The bold black "M" draws the viewers eye past the other brightly colored letters so they can not only begin to read "minute man," but also see the man in the "M." I like the design because of the plain font, which allows for a stylized figure of a man to become a focal point as well. The dark shaded "M" is balanced with the dark grey "N" at the opposite corner of the poster.
